The 800AR cells are a very good cell that can handle a lot of current - in fact, a lot more than you would throw at it with a Speed 400 motor. They are somewhat "overkill" for the Speed 400 motor. For the same weight/size, you could get more duration from other cells like the CP-1300 or NIMH 1600 cells.
In some situations with hot motors and higher currents, though, you still need the 800AR cells, which are being replaced by the CP-1300. Shawn eflightpower.com [This message has been edited by sf_247 (edited 05-21-2001).] |

The CP-1300SCR cells and the N-800AR cells weigh the same, but the similarity end there. The 1300's are a 1/2 subC and the 800's are an A cell. The 1300's have a lower internal resistnace and will do better at higher currents than the 800's. I doubt that Sanyo considers the 1300 as a replacement for the 800 since they are different size.
