Micro An-225 with 1" edf-s

Got inspired by Hawker's work and made me this one plus micro rc car guts.
ws 26
wgh 82 grams

has 6 home made 1" fans with hottest 6mm motors(38000 rpm)
for those micro cars.
rx used for diferentional trust control. Tx is two chanel AIR tech on 49 mhz fr.

Four motors closer to the fuse are DD from the source(kokam 560) and two motors at each side are running trough rx.

All but nose section is 1/32 balsa.

Flies over seven minutes on kokam 560 single cell.

I'll do the video as soon as wether is better. Plane does not tolerate winds of any kind since it has no movable surfaces for flight corection.

Turns are on the wide side, pretty scale. It can be flown indors but I didn't try it.

It's much less responsive than wattage lightning. Motors for turns are getting less voltage trough the rx than ones directly connected to the battery and that makes the model turn much slower and with bigger radius.

I dont have right charger for these KOKAM cells but one I use from Radio shack works fine, voltage has to be checked not to exced 4.3 volts.
Can't tell if the cell is getting worse after four flights using this charging method. Flights have still the same duration and battery is only warm to touch.

If these tiny motors are goin to survive 3+ voltage we'll see.

No problems with range. TX is made for 300 feet range but rx( from those rc cars) I use with long magnet wire as antena is good for the flights to 100+ feet which is god enough for me to see the thing and make the turn.

NICE Work!

That's REALLY Kool! .... Say,if You hooked 2 of the outbard motors to the TX, do You think it would turn better?...
Or... perhaps some kind of sub-micro actuator like the Micro-Boys use that would break power to one side or the other of all 3 fans and re-engage the fans when the control was neutraled like a set of contact points? Bet it would turn pretty sharp then! You say You have 2-channel... You could use 1 for thottle-controll (up & down) and one for the actuator (left & right) Don't those micro cars have some sort of steering actuator You could cannabilize? A couple sets of contact breaker points from an old micro switch should suffice for the motor cut-offs....Just a thought Bob

Before on a small P-38 I made that used the motors to steer I just added an HS-50 no case as a eleavator and this made the turning much better.

Oh, I wasn't complaining about the way it turns just comparing it with model that flies on the similar setup.
the model wasn't ment to be fast and make sharp turns. That would make it fly like "rare bear" or something.
Thanks for the input anyway.
