Well, I picked up one a week ago from Extreme RC, here in Melbourne. So far it looks like a great charger, have only charged a few packs though. The internal balancer is a real bonus. The accuracy of the cell readings on the display isn't too bad, within 20mV or so. When the pack balance charge finished, the cells were within 10mV of each other.
It didnt come with a manual, just a note to say go to the website and download it!
PS. this was not the duo, but 0610i

Well I was going to order a 0610i but now I may hold off and wait for the duo. THe watts are a little lower than running two 0610i's but it would be nice to charge and balance two packs from one unit. I like the direction that Hyperion has gone to with the new line of chargers.

My guess is you got the 6010i, not the DUO - I have not seen the DUO released yet..

The 0606 AC/DC seems to be cool, it has balancer, can charge A123, and do not need a high current 12v PS

The ac/dc chargers are very nice but the charge rate is limited to 50 or 60 watts.
I have the eos5si dp that does 5s cells. it wont charge a 5s pack at 5 amps.


it will charge a 3s pack at 5 or close to it.

Well I was reading the Duo manual off the Hyperion site and I think I found a flaw and a reason for me not to try this charger. I was HOPING that this charger could charge two packs that are completely different at the same time....like two seperate chargers. In the manual it states that in SYNC mode it can charge two batts of the same capacity at the same time. So if I want to charge a 6s5000mah pack and one of my 4s3300mah packs at the same time I can't. I think for my needs I will be better off with a pair of the 0610i chargers.

I had a chance to try EOS 0610i DUO. It is 2 0610i (180W each) in one box (even has 2 cooling fans). Size is only slightly larger than 0610i.
Sharing one LCD, switching with 'CH' bottun, each port can do independent charging (any different batt type and config). With SYNC mode, you can charge same type and capacity (but different voltage) of pakcs together, just like networked 2 0610i. SYNC mode is good to charge high cell count pack (8S A123/Lipo as 3S+5S etc).

Inside, it may be one CPU is controlling 2 ports, sometimes they are not totally independent (like during one port checking voltage etc) but it does not intrude operation much. You can start charging each port any time independently. Much better option rather than buying 2 0610i chargers, unless your pack is very large and requires 250W power.

So Raydee, you can use 0610i DUO as 2 0610i (with a bit less output). In SYNC mode, it can charge same type of battery (Lipo, A123, same mAh) and different voltage packs. 180W limit is enough to charge your 6S 5000mAh pack at 1C.

I am not sure US availability. DUO is released here in Japan a few days before Christmas...

If you don't mind me asking what did it cost in relationship to the 0610i. The single 0610i here is $169 so i am thinking the Duo will be about $279 since it has less watts compared to two 0610i chargers.

I have a 10 day old pair of 610i chargers with net cable for sale in the battery/charger for sale section

I saw those and thought about them but I think i will hold out for the DUO.
