Nelson just picked up those fan units today I snatched me one up
He hasn't added them to the website yet though
Kinda expensive though
Almost twice as much as the j10 NPS kit
It is a tad bit smaller than the GWS unit but is a 5 blade
Some depron spacing takes care of that though
Here are some pics of mine ready to install
I am a bit confused on the control surfaces though
The wing controls are set up as a delta correct?
Are the kanards set up like a delta also or do they move in the same direction all the time?

the center piece of the GWS rotor or the center
housing that hold the motor. Details please. Thanks

I am thinking of discarding the GWS rotor, using only the
GWS 75mm fan's housing with my home made 75mm rotor.
And I wonder how this GWS housing can handle
700-800 watts.

Hi, mine had a sticker that says 900gm thrust, but there was no sign of prop-rub. When I ran it up on a 25C 2250 3S, the impeller did tub on the shroud. So, did they actually test those fans?

BTW, I am going to use an HXT 80A ESC instead of the EMAX 40A. There wasn't much leeway with the 40A as the wattmeter showed an amp draw of 39A+ at 12.3V. I think the 80A would be much safer.

I have not bothered with balancing the rotor as I don't have a sensitive balancer. Just let it balance itself out. Not a lot of vibration, though.

Will install the linkages tonite in readiness for the weekend maiden. Will just use some colored tapes for orientation and wait to paint it later.

chewy,

This thread might be helpful if you're still worrying about the balance issue. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=788465&page=3

Can you provide info on how to order and price part number if possible.
Much apreciated.

The easiest thing I could tell you to do is give Nelson a call
626-570-8088
tell him what you want and he can get you what you need
I saw 4 of these units there
But remember these are almost twice as much as the NPS kit alone

Which of the following statement is true?
1) GWS = "cheap"
2) GWS = "good value"
