Latinflyer,
Would it ROG with canards in fixed position?

Just got it, UPS delivered it. Great model and you get allot for the money even if you ditch the old style 75mm fan, at least I got old style, no "RIBS" inside the rotor.
I wish they included cheater cover like on f-15.

Again great model.

I think problem arise when you use the recommended mixer in line with the elevons, then it's impossible to program less 'aileron' throw than 'elevator' throw on the elevons. That's when the canard come in handy, to help lift the nose a bit more. Othewise you end up with crazy aileron response.

Hi Herb;

I truly enjoy your posts and
need your advice with the choice of fan.
Years back in 2003-2004 you used the 609 on
one of your Jets and I think that fan is a good
choice here for this particular model; but you are using
the minifan instead. I wonder is there a good reason
that you prefer the mini over the 609? like better efficiency?
lighter weight? availability???
IMHO, the 609 is a better choice here.

Please advise.
Thanks.

Probably yes. But you would need to have the ability to make in flight adjustments of the Canard incidence to find out the correct angle to fix the canards at. I.E. a servo moving the canards that is not linked to the elevator stick. It would be better to fit an elevator stick link to the Canards.

For those persons wishing to know the size of the battery compartment the dimentions are 35.5mm x 37 mm x 150 mm

Chewy this means that the battery compartment needs to be enlarged to fit the Zippy-H 3300mAh 3S1P 20C battery pack but there is enough foam there to allow the compartment to be widened at the bottom.

Latinflyer and Herb,

You're the first two pilots of EB J-10. Would you post video or more photos of your great J-10.

Could anyone post a picture of new updated rotor please?
I got the kit yesterday but see no reinforced rotor with ribs. Have no idea if this one is new or old style.

My two came in from Caliber a few days ago... this model is BIG. It almost looks as if the wings are too small for a fuse of this size!

I got two kits recently, the A-4 from Epyaya at the AMA Convention a few weekends ago, and the J10 through the EB program.

The rotor in the A-4 kit is the old one without reinforcing ribs.

The rotor in the J10 is supposed to be the updated one, but it is on there very tight and I cannot get it off (or more appropriately, I'm afraid of pulling on it too hard so I don't break it).

I will most definitely be reinforcing the A-4 hub I have before installing it. That trick with the depron disc should work OK. I just hope the J-10 hub holds up (GWS says it was already tested on a 3 minute run).

I did not see any indication that my fan in the EB J -10 kit had been run. There were no rub marks ,and mine when I test run it at about 1/2 throttle started to vibrate and rub, tried to throttle up and smoked the motor. Less than 40 seconds. Cracked one rotor tip and smoked the motor. 3s 2250 loogmax 25c battery 75 amp align ESC. (Fan sticker marked 850 grams.) REPEAT! ran on 3s.

Well, mine definitely has rub marks on the shroud, so I know it was run at least once.

Did your shroud have a thrust sticker on the side?

Hi darmar?
what center piece is it?
the center piece of the GWS rotor or the center
housing that hold the motor. Details please. Thanks

I am thinking of discarding the GWS rotor, using only the
GWS 75mm fan's housing with my home made 75mm rotor.
And I wonder how this GWS housing can handle
700-800 watts.
