How are the Compy 300 kits these days? I read some reports of missing / wrong parts in the early batches that came out this year and wanted to know if the parts issue still exists.

Metal Idler Pulley

Got these as suggested in the compy 300 thread. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=3864

A bearing failed on mine and I wanted a more permanent, hopefully, replacement. The friction when the bearing failed caused enough heat to actually melt the outside of the bearing into the pulley. So it was a loss. Rather than get another oem set, I wanted to try these. The guides (is that what they're considered?) are narrower than the original compy ones, but seem to be working fine, but I've only had a 5 minute flight with these, belt hasn't popped off. Direct fit. Same height as the originals. They come with bearings so all I needed to use was the bushings and the screws from the compy kit. The screws that come with these from xmseller are short.

yep. Freestyle.
It's because it is a bit expensive normally and people don't want to jump in and by the freestyle setup. It's all the same thing as a CompyFP except this frame is much more simple. This was before the CompyFP. Parts are all universal , except the frame.

I've had both. Both are great.

Somebody had to talk the J-Team into a CompyFP.

You'll like it man. Chris tuned it for a guy down in TX. So, this bird has been around. I just made it better.
