Here is my night flyer with all the LEDs installed and covered. Now I just need to change out a couple dead servos and get it into the air.

Night Flyer 195 LEDs (1 min 10 sec)

Looks great! Tell us some more about it. White covering or colored? How did you rig your flashing lights?

All white covering, with different color LEDs underneath. I had to make a canopy for it so I would have some place to house the 2200mah 3S lipo that I am using to run the lights, Rx, and servos. The canopy was designed with a hatch on top for easy access to the battery and switch. To turn the lights on from my radio I am using the Turnigy Rx controlled switch and to run the flashing lights I am using the regular LED strip controller from the following thread. The landing gear is housed in clear heat shrink to protect the LEDs from fuel.

The plane itself is powered by an OS40LA.

Looks great! Let us know about the LEDs on the landing gear that shine straight out without diffusion. It's possible they will likely appear too bright compared to the more diffuse lighting on the rest of the plane under the covering, and create unwanted glare. If they're in parallel maybe you can unsolder a wire during your testing to see what you like better.

I like it. It looks like orientation will be a breeze.
