The video is of a guy flying the opposite mode so it didn't quite go straight up, but pretty much did. Not a good video of it really. Posted it before even watching it haha as I couldn't view youtube at work.

Flight times were lacking, but that wasn't the point of the exercise haha

The long exposure pics are of me flying it and you can see it went pretty much straight up. Was "hands off" on the way up. All in the set-up

Oh and the test flight video from further up, was the first ever flight. I didn't even hand toss it to check CG, so hence it went a bit erratic lol

And finally, i will grab some of the others time exposure pics from our forum here of other night flyers

Wow, you're even crazier than I thought! Most guys wouldn't launch any kind of glider without a first hand toss or two, and many won't takeoff a powered plane without a glide test or at least a couple of fast taxis.

How much flight time do you get if it goes straight up?

Some very nice shots there. Thanks for sharing those. I need to get a camera with more features so I can take long exposures. I think mine will only do about 2 or 3 seconds. Of course, I have a camera that will do all those things, but takes ......... film! (huh? what's that?) I mean, I would have to find a place that still develops film and that could also scan the negatives for me. I guess I'd have to go there first to get the film, too, since I doubt there is anywhere else that would sell it. It would probably be easier and almost the same cost to just buy a new camera.

Oh, so I think you just need a longer burning rocket engine! Maybe you could fly a couple of circuits before it cuts out!

yeah rockets are home made by a local guy. His bigger ones explode lol. Commercial ones last longer. My other rocket glider gets three times the height and uses estes C6-5 motors that eject on the reverse charge to help it glide longer. I can fly it for about 3min without lift from a good launch. I have video of it on my youtube channel

Another vid:

... And it was never seen again. JK

I agree with whoever was narrating. It is really cool. Probably not for me, but it would be great to watch.

Turned my T28 into a night flyer. Ran out of LEDs so only the wings are lit

Almost lost it a few times, but she came home in 1 piece

Need to add strips running down the side and a lot more lights on the bottom

First landing crashed into some tall weeds.

Cool, I saw someone last Weekend that only had lights underneath, and as the wind pushed them downwind, and they turned towards themself, it kept dissapearing. He ended up going for a row in the dark
