Comeon guys....this is starting to sound like the slope forum. They're just toy planes, yeah?

I agree completely! Although I prefer getting it up on my own! ......uh....seems it's just more natural without the need for those little blue pills, no?

....nevermind

Exactly.......we should be so lucky to live in places where we "can" argue about how to get it up! Being a snob sucks.......life's way to short to worry about what the other guy is doing....if you like what he's doing.....then you do it to....if not....and it's not hurting anyone....what's it really matter?

Good Lord man chill......wipe the spit off the screen and take a step back.... Yes, this is the "Scale Sailplanes" forum......but we have tugs in here.....they have engines......we also have sailplanes with up and go systems....those do involve a engine and propeller......and yes your attitude is snobbish ...... who the heck are you to say what anyone can and cannot use to get his plane to altitude with? You happen to have a slope that you can fly from......some of us not so much......I have slope planes that get flown once a year if I'm lucky.....in fact I have a Viking Models Salto that I'm going to do just that to.....put a prop on the front....so I can fly it a bit more then once a year. Get off your high horse and stop passing judgment on others....

Come on guys let's just focus on the product. Doesn't matter if it's powered or not to me. These sort of posts just waste space. Enough said...

I steamed over this for sometime You dont know me How dare you make unfounded statements, if I'm a snob I'm in good company with you trying to tell me what to think so you get of your high horse with the the idea your any better than anyone else . Yes you mention tug and other prop driven aircraft I dont give a fat rats I'm sick of people like you trying to make something out of a nothing statements like "it takes the gliding out of glider"
I'm very sorry I offended your delicate Idea of the world so you have won your little smart #$$$ argument and I'll not post in scale again as it may be OT. Thanks for coming.

Wow! What are you 10 years old????? THESE ARE JUST TOYS!!!!!!!!! So you steamed over this for sometime...why???...and are no longer going to post here in the scale forum..why????...I know 10 year olds who show way more maturity then you. Let it go dude....what others decide to do with their airplanes is really none of your concern.......if someone wants a powered Salto......have at it...sounds like fun.....it's only the self-righteous that want to force their version of how things should be on other people......Me....I'm on no high horse.....I welcome all.....if it has to do with R/C flight it's all good......in all seriousness you might want to talk with someone about your "anger issues" it's really not good for your health or for those around you....once again....these are JUST TOYS!!!! ....No reason what so ever to get all bent out of shape about what somebody wants to do with their toy......Chill dude.

geez.....

Hey....comeon you two. Let's not get personal alright? Everyone is entitled to their opinions but getting personal and abusive just doesn't fly. That's what I hate about the internet age; it's just too easy to get nasty from the safety of your computer. We're all friends here and things should never get this way over our silly toy planes.

It's very difficult to convey context via a message board and I think you guys just rubbed each other the wrong way. What say we step back and take a deep breath and then get back to the issue at hand which is the Salto, yeah?

Sometimes we let our passions flare but we have to keep things in perspective; our toy plane hobby is far too frivolous to get into pissing matches over. I know Steve Wenban from the slope forum and he's a good guy; he's entitled to his opinion as is everybody else but maybe it came across wrong to some. Steve: don't leave angry, stick around and tell us about your Salto when it arrives. I for one enjoy your posts and look forward to your impressions of this new model.

Why don't you two "cyber shake" and make up so we can get back to discussing the Salto, OK?

Thanks Doubletap. That is exactly what I wanted to say. Thanks for getting things into perspective for us all. I too would miss Steve's contribution so echo your sentiments wholeheartedly.

All constructive comments and general light-heartedness are welcome from everybody.

I'm looking forward to the first recipients of this new plane to share their experiences whatever their background/preferences are.

I agree......these are just toys and for Mr. Wenban to get all bent out of shape over it is just plain strange.......it's the dang internet.......the world wide waste.....to "get steamed" for some time over it is not a good thing.......life is way to short to stew over what someone does with his "Toy".....Get out and fly....that's what I'm going to do right now!

I'd miss Steve too so I hope he stays with us.

And what's with this "I'm looking forward to ....?" You started the thread - I was looking forward to reading about yours

I've been tempted but I have a build queue at the moment and a birthday in February which might be about right so I'm waiting for reports too, but not, it seems from you

And there's Ming's Fox that's going to have to slide in somewhere..............
