Definitely bring your bungees, that would be really fun.
I'll be in Borrego this weekend and it's looking like I won't have my plane fixed by then anyways. Hopefully I can get to that next week after school lets out.

Got the pictures of the carnage uploaded... what do you guys think?

I don't see a problem, fix it with gorilla glue and it will be flying in no time.

Actually, what I've got is about 15 feet of surgical tubing... stretched out twice that long with another 15 feet of string, it works pretty good.

I got the same set up but i skiped the string. just 25ft of surgical tube stretched to 75ft and then let it rip. Soooo much fun even in the flats.

Key is to go straight forward and then pull up after the hook gets unclipped. If you try to do a conventional high start without the string, say goodbye to your wing.

If you've never been there, you need to check out Marshall's Industrial Hardware. It's one block north off Miramar; turn at Starbucks. They have surgical tubing, every fastener known to man, and lots of model-building materials. I end up there a couple of times every build I do.

Thanks Mark, that's perfect. I can probably get something together by Saturday.

Just looked at the wind graph for this week at Poway, and it looks pretty good 5-10 with 10-13 gusts out of the west. And today at 1pm we have 10 w/ 15 gusts.
might have a little south effect, but that is where the bugee will shine.

It was a great day at Blossom yesterday. Lots of DS going on and some frontside chasing as well.
Super smooth lift until 7.

I'm excited I just found 25' of surgical tubing at the local medical supply store! So whether the lift is good on the frontside of Poway or not, as long as there is wind, the DSing will be great on the backside. Bungee launch, dive right in DS'ing tomorrow baby!!! There is going to be alot of giggling like a school girl (actually "boy") stuff going on. Can't wait.

Yes James, three guys were working it at the same time. I made good use of the escape route around the ridge after some bade DS moves. The grass is super tall and retrieving the plane would be a huge adventure.
