Thanks Greg! I had the CG waaaay back and it was a handful. Thanks to Matin and the pennies & razor knifes we got it spot on and it flew great. Could only blame my thumbs after that.

Get'er done! (Like I should be getting my Jdub done) I didn't put a tube in this since it's only going to be for thermaling and light days. I have a tube in my heavier built M60, the one that baby-sat the fence all day last Saturday, so I'm set for all occasions

Got my Moth kit from Matin last night so look out Saturday boys. A new contender for last place in the fast group! If SWMBO gives me time after dinners this week to build it.

Mike,

Don't rush the build!!! The plank plan form is VERY sensitive to the build quality. Trust me I KNOW!

Dave
who rushed his Moth. Oh, and no longer has one.

Isn't that the one that punched out and turned the poodle into a noodle?

I've got a JW60 that if I can get REALLY motivated I may have near complete by Saturday AM, but I'd bet on Mike's Moth being done before my JW.

Hi there everyone! I'm fairly new to RC and looking to get into the glider realm. I used to work out at Warner Springs gliderport and flew a bunch there. I'm lookin for some advice on good beginners gliders and radio systems. I'm also looking for good spots to fly in San Diego. I'd prefer them to be pretty local. I'm down in the Lake Murray / Cowles Mountain / Mission Trails area (San Carlos to be exact).

I'd love to be able to come watch / hang around at some good places that a lot of people go to.

Come check out the HURL race on Saturday at Dave's beach. I5 north exit Palomar Airport road- west until you hit PCH across from the hotel.

Consider getting either a weasel pro and or a predator bee as early planes. then follow your own form of the addiction.

Welcome Gosta! Like Greg says, come on out and introduce yourself around. I'll bring my extra radios and buddy cord and get you some stick time if you'd like. This is a great hobby/sport/pass time so watch out for the big hook! There are a couple great slopes close to you so once your ready to get your own set up you'll have good places to fly.

Hope to see you Saturday,
Jim

And the way some us fly, this can be as much of a contact sport as Rugby is, so you can satisfy both urges!

Like when Jim and James are both flying... which makes me think, where the heck is Jason"the claw"??? We could totally use some of his kung-fu HURLing. I'll try calling him and see if he can make it this Saturday.
