There are all kinds of killer bowls on freshly graded terraces waiting for new houses.

See ya' out there,

For some reason the whole link wont post. Just coppy the first and second part or go into google map and look for Santee Flying Sites and click on the comunity map called Santee flying sites.

That's where I went today. I was ripping. I went to the West Hills site because I diden't want to climb a steep hill in the mudd.

Garfield was working good yesterday. There were moths, HPs and Ubers in the air till Oran, Dan and Another guy threw out and brought the rain and killed our fun.

Dan- Did you get your plane back. Neil Mike James and I came back and flew more late in the afternoon and did not see you plane on the roof. It was even better on this second session.

Garfield was a blast... first time there.
I ran up to Double Peak when the first rain came and it was HUFFING. I needed more lead for the zagi (duh) and I got tired of the heavyweight MiniWeasel and I was bored by myself so I drove back down to Garfield and everyone was gone except for a couple guys (don't know their names) who were packing up. I flew the P51 for a while and packed it up just before sunset.

I flew at Swami's this morning and it was really fun... not to many cars in the parking lot and some nice soft greenery on the slope to catch the planes.

RE:Plane Recovery

Yeh, we got the plane.....we met a really cool old dude named Joe that lives next door to the house where the plane landed. He helped us fish it off his neighbors roof. Couldn't have done it without access to his balcony....fortunately, he loves to watch the planes fly in front of his house.

No rush on the bell cranks.... I'm likely to be up your way sometime, we'll coordinate then.

As far as the roof....I had the landing greased, but I'm pretty sure that roof was over height spec, otherwise I would have been just fine..........and that's the story I'm sticking with!

Lake Hodges Slope fenced in?

Drove by Lake Hodges today to see if the slope was open.
Was over by the trail head by the tennis courts. There were park workers
that looked like they were fencing up the trails to the lake and the slope.
It didn't look good.

Besides the Poway hill, are there any other slopes in this area?
