The tail feather was the elevator and what's cool is it actually twisted about the fuselage axis so it could act as a rudder as well. I think the wing span was about 48 inch or so. The real birds were definitely checking it out but none were hostile. He really threw them off by doing a loop and a roll. One of the real birds actually tried to show him up too and did a roll.

LoL!! I like to fly other peoples foam. Foam planes for me are a pain to build and transport. But... a kick in the pants to scoot around low to the ground.

Very cool... Thanks for posting this.. Hope to meet and see it before the novelty for the birds wear's off.. i find seagulls chase me around frequently but never had one do a roll for, or after me..

Whee!!! I finally convinced myself that I need a combat wing - I picked it up last night, and did the maiden flight today out at hodges

It has some issues I'd like to work out, but it flys pretty great! I'm impressed actually. I got a few 20 min flights, and even a couple 30 - the longest was 35 before I either got too gutsy,.. or ran out of wind long enough to force me to land, or both.

I'm flying now!

Sweet! My buddy at work told me you came in and bought one yesterday. You got that thing together quick!

Had a good time at blossom today. Got to air out the Mach-1, wow what a nice plane. It had been grounded for about 90 days for lack of time to make some minor repairs. A fellow from Hi-Tek showed up with a Blizzard and gave us a demo on the new Araura-9ch radio. This looks like a very good transmiter, but the price point may be too high.

Hitec's gear isn't exactly expensive, I mean, comeon, the JR XP9303 2.4ghz is $630. The Aurora 9, which is a lot more advanced, is less expensive, is still a better deal too. Oh, and not to mention the 2 year warranty

He did really good,.. the only thing he forgot was Strapping tape, and Hinge tape.

I think I am am just behind the times on transmiter prices. I paid less than $800 for my two Evo's new in box as a set (I like to keep a back-up) several years ago.
