EPPiper, a BluCub2 FKm variation
I wanted a trainer, and I got a good indoor plane out of it as well.
All 9mm EPP sheet from SloperSteve @ SloFly. A Blue Wonder on 2 or 3 cells, depending on how much coffee you had works fine ![]() A wide range of cg, courtesy of the KFm1 (bottom step) airfoil. Start at 25% (2") and work your way back to 40% (3.2", or just at the step). It does a great job of 'one-up-ing' my older BluCub design. The added wing area and slightly smaller size, along with lower weight with the lighter and cheaper equipment available today, along with the 'floaty feel' of EPP, make this a great slow flyer for relatively small areas, like the street in front of the house. For true small-field flying, like the front yard, around the trees, etc, build a SmartDart. Anyway, here she is in all her glory! AUW: 7oz w/ 3s450 Area: ~225sqin Loading: 4.2oz/sqft Edit: A newer tiled version was uploaded. Kits are available (pretty cheap ) from Twisted Hobbys
