Obama: I inhaled, that was the point.

Hey, at least he's honest. I think I'm feeling a little tense right now;-)

And who gives a crap about what Mitt Romney thinks is setting a bad example. He thinks coffee and tea bad substances.

It will be interesting to see if people like hearing the truth or not. Romeny is repeating the safe and traditional and boring and fundamentally silly position that Americans cannot or will not accept complete candor from Presidents and candidates for the office.

My take is what Obama is really saying is look, encouraging Presidents to be less than honest or complete on any subject out of concern for "example" or "dignity of the office" or similar rationales is fundamentally not healthy for a democracy. We are tolerating too much deliberate disinformation, misinformation and incomplete information from our top leaders and a return to everyday values of candor and honesty on all subjects would be an improvement. I agree with him and suspect he will strike a chord with most voters with this view. He will not win over many more traditional or highly Conservative voters but I think he's written them off anyway.

So it's back to Bill Clinton, is it? Some people are so predictable...

Obama and I are exactly the same age (within 24 hours), and share a youthful indiscretion. Big deal. It's a misdemeanor -certainly less a danger than driving after drinking, and I suspect that all the candidates except the Hildebeast have that in their past.

I also read Romney's words. He has a point - to a point. And, 25 years ago, candidate Obama would never have admitted to having smoked marijuana.

So does that mean it's OK by you all that our President is a coked out ex-drunk..It seems to me that HIS youthful indiscretions are equally irrelevant. Or is it his failure to stand up and confess that is the problem.. or would it be better if he gave an "I didn't inhale speech"
Or is this whole thread another example of the bitterness of having produced the likes of Gore and Kerry as your most viable alternative.. And the likelihood of producing a third.. similarly inadequate.

Best part about this thread is that it started out as troll to catch republicans and look what came in the net...

The Dems are sure to try and spank him for at least the next century or more.
True libs will just move on and devour/consume elsewhere.
What will the pubs do?
Maybe vote, go to work and build a better future?

What will the BA's do?
Change socks maybe?

Looks like everyone is shopping or upgrading their hardware lately.

I could be wrong.

Thew same thing they've been doing for the last 7 years - blame the Clinton's (both of them ) for every ill they can possibly think of. Especially if they think it has even a prayer of diverting attention away from current issues.
