11xx shaft sizes 3.20 or 3.17?

Are the 11xx shafts really 3.20mm or are they standard 1/8" (3.17mm)? If they are really 3.20, is this likely to be a problem when fitting pinions designed for 1/8" shafts? Does it tend to be close enough to use a heat-assisted or press fit, or does it mean these motors are just not going to be compatible with the wide range of stuff intended for 1/8" shafts? Also, if I heat the pinion and slide it on, is the heat from the hot pinion likely to interfere with the shaft metallurgy? How hot can I let the pinion get before it's likely to do harm to the shaft?

In another forum one of the users has mentioned that the docs for the 1105 refer to the shaft as 0.125" (1/8") so I'm guessing these motors will be perfectly compatible without resorting to "drastic measures". Can someone confirm?

I use a 1/8" collet adapter on my 1105 with a 3.2mm shaft with no problems. The fit is as good as any.
