Pic of Terry Awaiting First Flight

Here is a pic of my Terry...first plane was SoarStar (now deceased) Any tips or advice about setup/throws/techniques to deliver an experience, at least initially, that is more parkflyer than hotliner?? Review on Ezone indicates it is capable of slow flight, but some conversations with folks have me somewhat spooked.

Sorry man, that link doen't seem to work.

I don't know if you already know all of this, but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

Right click on the photo and get the properties. When you copy the URL from the property dialog box, make sure and copy the whole URL. Sometimes if the picture URL is big, you will need to scroll down with your mouse when you highlight the entire URL. Scroll bars don't appear, but the text area will scroll as you highlight more text. The second option is to right click on the picture and open it in a new window. From there, you can copy the URL from the Address bar.

Good luck and I can't wait to see you pics.

Hey, Dave! I know I messed up the link in 1st post, but the one in the 2nd one ("OOPS!") works for me when I click on it. The "right-click, select properties, highlight ALL of the URL, copy and paste" method is what I used on the second try. Please reply if the link in the SECOND post isn't working. Thanks!

That last one works. I had to login to Yahoo, but that's ok.

Thanks, looks great.

What does the writing on the tail say?

Like you I started with a Soarstar(still alive)The Terry flys faster on step and lands much faster.the wings on landing are close to the ground so need smooth surface.
Just full power on, firm toss, a little up trim and about 30 deg. climb to safe height.
Once its up there you will have a blast, It will do loops and rolls easily and here in N.M. I have had thermal flights last up to 20 min. Terry hase no bad habits just likes to move faster than the Soarstar.
You have built one great looking plane.

Is it Friday?
I love the look of these planes - you've persuaded me to go buy one.

That's a beaut.

OK, I've just had a rethink, looking at the shape of that wing, it looks almost exactly like I correx wing I made - glow in the dark too, so I'll just assimilate a fuse to match, also in correx.

Wow! That is a sweet looking Terry! Very nice job....is that monokote?

Jim summed it up really well. The Terry flies great but she is pretty hot, especially for a newbie like myself. I had only about 15 minutes of stick time on a Sophisticated Lady sailplane when I started soloing my Terry. Needless to say I have dorked it up a couple of times. It flys pretty well at fairly slow speeds but fast is where it is more comfortable and it will fly fast! I hope to grow in to it's capabilities as I increase my skill.

Pictures of my Terry in flight and in repair (and other planes my friends fly) are here:

Sorry! But the server is currently down, probably due to the DSL service...should be back up real soon...

Oh, and the Chinese character is "We still have your prane!" Actually the stars and the Chinese(?) character are from stencils I found at Hobby Lobbey. No, not THAT Hobby Lobby....the other one. :>)
