Well Blik, looks like you've convinced another Western Canuckian to start Quarking. I'll be calling Udisco tomorrow to get one ordered up. I trust I'll be able to use you (and your videos) as a scapegoat if/when the Chief Financial Officer finds out.

Funny though, after a couple of years of ignoring helis and flying only airplanes I really find myself drawn to this little gaffer. I still don't have much desire to dust off the Trex, but I'm definitely looking forward to flying the Quark around the yard. Must be the size/FP/safety aspect that is keeping the fear factor down and the anticipation up.

Any hints, tips or suggestions as to where to get some (hopefully unnecessary) spare parts and blades? More questions to come I'm sure.

The movie of SRB with Airwolf fuselage is very cool. I like the low head position,
very stylish! Very expensive, but it is valuable for me to be able to fly an Airwolf
(not only hovering but also turning flight) in a small room with safety.

I guess that the peculiar phase 45 degree comes from the
stabilizer control method which is similar to one in an Ikarus Piccolo;
the paddles twist when the stabi-bar swings. Indeed, in my Pro-Piccolo,
the phase of the stabilizer is not of 90 degrees, but of 50~60 degrees.

Thanks Flying-llama...I didn't know that the xrb bodies did eventually touch down. Don't think they ever made it this side of the pond though.

Ah! That explains it then. So I shouldn't expect a bodied version any time soon then. Hirobo is notoriously slow.

Airwolf

That Airwolf fuselage looks great but it wont do anything positive for your flight times though. it looks pretty fat.
I wonder if they had to adjust the length of the tail rotor drive shaft.

Yes, I agree that the Airwolf fuselage is fat.
If possible, I want a fuselage like the 1/48 Aoshima's die-cast

Hi Guys,

You can find some pictures of the SRB Airwolf:

The total weight 186 g (16 g heavier than the normal canopy heli).

Looks like they've done a fair bit of re-engineering at the tail end.
Pity Hirobo don't have a bodied version right off the bat.

Could one of you fortunate souls with an SRB measure and weigh the battery please? I'd like to order up a couple of extra aftermarket batts to have on hand for when mine arrives.

TIA!

It'd be nice if this was available as a kit for those of us who like to build and so it could be cheaper.

It would be nice if it was "available" in any form to us stateside dudes!
Maybe by late April, from what I hear rumored down at the LHS.
