man, i hope to heck i can make it! my wifes belly is getting huge! theres no way its going to last til nov! we think it might be mid oct. if so, i might get lucky.

Painting is done. Next will be panel lines. I need to get it done so I can clear the workbench for the F-104. This beast takes up too much room!
But I have to leave again tomorrow and won't be able to get back on it till Tuesday. A couple of days should do it for the finish though.

Uncle...you've thoroughly outdone yourself with the 86....she's an absolute beauty as-is, the panel lines and weathering are going to look incredible. I think you chose the right scheme for her, thats for sure!

Waiting to buy mine...airline ticket prices may drop in the fall if gas prices ease...summer driving season is always the worst.

If they don't drop, I'll just eat it....but I'm tight on cash right now because of gas prices and the company I work for can't increase our mileage pay without runnign themselves in the ground. I'd rather sacrifice a bit and have a job 6 months from now.

Hey I'm curious...Northrop was supposedly working on stealth the same time Lockheed was working on Have Blue... did I miss something or is there a Northrop 1st generation stealth plane that was skipped over prior to the B-2?

you named it. just a test bed for testing the smooth rounded shapes, rather than the facets.

i dont think my dad will mind..just as long as it isnt a F-22....thats the one that hurts. stole away the YF-23...what a shame that was. if i was the AF...i would have picked that one based on looks alone! not to mention it was way faster, and was more stealthy...no thrust vectoring...who cares..they only use it in airshows they missed out on that bird big time. even though the 117 is pretty ugly...i really like them . man, do they look cool in the air!
