i know, it's like hinging a foamy, but on a bigger scale

i think i could lift up the vinyl a bit, seal the tape and close the vinyl over it, it'll look clean

NICE!! So when do we "Airfoilz Junkies" get a sneak peak?
I find it hard to believe that you can improve such a fine line of RC Aircraft...and then comes the Extra 260...I still don't think you could make a better Bipe...but I can't wait to see what you all come up with next! You always are moving in the right direction!

For what it is worth I don't seal the surfaces with tape it slows them down too much to overcome the benefit in this class of plane. A 40% with 1200 oz on each aileron no question.

do you recommend it though?

this is the first time i put together control surfaces like this and i got a gap in the ailerons, flies fine, but i want clean air over the surfaces, any air that leaks into the gap becomes dirty air

Nice build. I wish I could get an Airfoilz bird, but my flying skills aren't good enough for one of those yet.

What is your skill level? If you have flown a 4 channel already...you can set-up any of the Airfoilz to be a gentle giant! Simple set the throws to a very short! You can do it!!

I think I could, though I would like to increase my skills even more before I take the plunge into my first ARF, as the first one seems to be the most expensive. And I made a mistake and went from a 3 channel to a PZ Typhoon. (The Typhoon look got the best of me. ) So after the numerous Typhoon incidences, my confidence level isn't very high.

Do you think that the Airfoilz could be a second(maybe even first, though highly unlikely) aileron model?

The Typhoon was my first 4 channel that I had flown in over 15 years...it took a little getting used to...and then I went on to the Airfoilz Edge. The Edge is 100 times better than the Ty...much more of a stable plane...and can be flown gracefully or all out 3-D. Any of my fleet of Airfoilz Planes would be a great second 4 channel plane...or with a little practice with a Sim...you could handle it as long as you keep the throws LOW!! As you get better and more comfortable...you can increase the throws until you are only flying on high rates...tumbling, hovering you name it! My Airfoilz fleet is really the only 3-D's planes I fly anymore Each has their own personality...one is better at this...and one is better at that...but they are all AWESOME!! Trust me and the rest of the Airfoilz junkies...these planes ROCK...you won't regret it
