1st RC car for my 9 year old ..

Hi guys - I'm not new to rc (I fly Helis & recently a PZ spit ) ..
But I'm on the look out for suggestions for a 1st rc car for my lad for Xmas. (Youtube has a lot to answer for )

Can someone give me some 'good' 1st cars to do some research into

- must be electric & quite robust... Would be handy if it came with a tx as well .. little bugger nicks mine enough already

I've suggested he get a big wheel monster truck type (I think it'd last longer) but he seems set on a drifter ... Any suggestions for either type or something else ?

TIA

As for a manufacturer, I would go with Traxxas. Their vehicles tend to be pretty tough. The stampede is a favorite for bashing.

The Stampede is miles ahead of the Maxx series in terms of durability. Stampede is lighter, you jump it 6ft in the air and not have to worry about breaking it everytime. The E-maxx, well, you better learn real quick on how to land it!

Stampede, Rustler, or even the bandit!
