-Eskay 400XT
-Little Screamers Purple Peril
-Grayson GH2212-10 (combo w/esc is only $33!)"
The gh2212-10 is a re-labeled suppo. I bought the SUPPO 2212-10
from lightflightRC. They seem to be good people and I have had good service from them. I haven't got around to building yet.

Cool. Just remember to keep it light. You will hove more fun with it when it weighs less!

Scott.. sorry if it seemed like I jumped on you. My comment was a bit tongue-in-cheek and was not meant to be mean.

Was setting my up for auto sweep, was wondering about the screen shot for expo. For those flying this way, are you using that expo (+50) to fly with all the time? Little confused here. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...&postcount=153
Thanks,Bud

I'm building mine with a DX6 and am very new to mixing and programming. Anyone tried this with a DX6 yet? Is it the same set up as the DX7?

Yes and almost....

It's similar, just look at the pictures and go through your programming menus. The DX6 does not have a 3 position switch, so some of the features/options are a little different. You have to choose which two modes you'd like to use. IE wings open with switch on, wings auto with switch off.

Decided to fly my newly build MCD-14 yesterday even though the snow on the ground was crusted and bumpy. Flew great once I got use to flipping the flap switch on my DX7 and thottle speed for different wing positions. Had only one problem - my ply motor mount kept separating from the foam [even though I epoxy it] This happened several times on landing. Anybody have a better way to secure the ply motor mount?
Thanks Bill

I used Gorilla Glue. I also added some Depron wedges on each side of the top fin to help brace the motor mount.

Also, make sure the brake is off on your ESC so that when the prop hits the ground, it'll rotate. Make sure you've throttled down to zero before touching down.

Use 4 toothpicks. Secure as hell and very strong.

Epoxy and cold are a bad mix, also sand your wood lightly to open the pores a bit more to allow glues to pentrate and bond. Won't help too much with epoxy (except for removing dirt and skin oils) but is great for CA and pretty good for glues like Gorilla glue. The Toothpics work great though for addining durability to your bond.
