Well crap my X8 is down now as well. Went for a bit of flying at Debbie's yesterday and she went in from about 4-5 feet up. Luckily only on leg broke, goin to fix it by cutting legs from thicker fiberglass. At first I was thinking the board died because no lights were on when I got to it, at home I started tracing power out and found out I burned up the 50amp current sensor on the TBS discovery frame. So a resolver of my input power to ESC lead, fix the leg and I'm flying again.

Reportback on the 1258MHz patch works great better than my other patch and I could actually fly behind the fence line which I couldnt do with the other one..

Crosshair in progress..

If you switch then we won't all be able to fly together.

and I'm on 910 also. Most are flying in the 1.2/1.3 band as there isn't as much noise but 900 seems to be working well around 3O. The only real problem I'm going to have is upgrading my Tx antenna as the size of 900 MHz clover leaf is huge. I should get some basic landing gear and move the battery to the bottom.

Here's what flying is all about. This was taken a couple weeks ago down at Sandbridge. 20 mph wind but the old cub hung right in there for some real nice touch 'n goes off the beach while my grandkids looked on.

Went to 3O with my wife for a test flight.

Plus side:
-Flew great, well balanced, not too heavy
-Stability seemed to at least partially work, later developed a lean to the right
-New station and rig worked awesome for quick setup, organized

Minus Side:
-No video at all, about 50 foot range
-Stability mode developed a lean to the right
-mah meter seemed off on OSD

I may call Readymade Monday and see what they can do to get Immersion OSD, new rx tx on the 1200mhz freq, and a tracking station with patch antenna.

900 freq is kind of a pain because the antennas are huge.

Will do some testing to see whats the real issues. I think my Video Range Tx is a dud.

I'm tired of missing nice flight days, getting frustrated. I should be flying today.

Depending on How Santa treats me I'm going over my FPV equipment upgrades in my head. I've done some reading on this little guy. Seems like a good compromise between features and cost.

Well ill post some beginning pics as Saturday I'm leaving for 3 weeks back home. Also they didn't have the ESC's I wanted so they are getting shipped back home as well so the build will finish there. Probably going to throw a small GoPro gimbal on it until they send me te DSLR gimbal.
She is going to be a power house to. It has the same motors I have on my DARPA bird but six of then! Running 4S, spinning 12x4 props she will produce around 30LBs of thrust!

That's crazy. When you get it done bring it over and follow the kids in my neighborhood.
