Well, after several days in bags of rice, all of my components that went for a swim work except the rudder servo. It's a 3 dollar XT900 so I can live with that.

I don't think the weather can get much better than forecast tomorrow. Hih 60's and 5 Mohammed winds at 0800! Best part is this semester is over so I don't have to worry about homework! Saweet!

Hey Mike 60 degrees sounds a bit cold to go swimming!

Sounds great for flying though, I'll be there.

Hopefully I'll not have that experience again.

I'd be lying to you if I said I've never been swimming after a plane.

Heck I was up over my head just 3 weeks ago pulling my Cessna out of the lake. The water was warm and I actually enjoyed it.

Looking for a place to stretch my wings

Good morning, I've been dodging around your cluster of posts here and there and I'm trying to figure out when or where is the best place to fly? I have a 40 sized plane and I'm looking at investing in some other aircraft but I'm stuck with the question.... where can I fly? I live near Virginia Beach General Hospital and my rescue squad is located near Lynnhaven Middle and I believe I've seen someone fly there once, I am an AMA member. Any suggestions? I once was a member of TRC a while back but it was such a drive to get out there. Hoping to find something more local.

@Av3ng3r247, is your plane glow or electric, other than saying it's a 40 sized you really didn't specify.

There is a group of us that flies at Lynnhaven Middle every Sunday, you can stop by tomorrow and check it out, none of us fly glow there, as we don't wish to upset the surrounding neighborhood and lose our flight privileges there.

I have a GP Trainer .40 that I converted from glow to electric that I plan on flying at local fields soon. There are guys at Lynnhaven Middle that fly 48" and 60" Edge 540's. There's some larger sized models that fly out of Three Oaks Elementary as well.

I'm just checking the weather now, but I'm getting ready to load up and head out to 3O (Three Oaks), there should be a decent sized group there today, again we all fly electrics there so we don't upset the neighbors.

Welcome to the forums, and I hope to see you at a field soon.

Great flying today even though I only flew three times. I can check reversed controls off my RC experience list. How embarrassing.

Glad we could help get the FPV bird back. that experience reaffirmed my need for a UHF radio system.

Great flying today indeed. Nice hanging out with all the guys that showed up. Had a slight unfortunate incident with my red Rafale but only suffered very minor damages..thank God. Really crossing my fingers with Fentress opening up and allowing RC flyers to fly there.
