Hi galaxiex,

Wow, you are quite the engineer! Any chance you detail out the way you built that slick camera mount on the Slow Stick?

I'm really impressed with your work!

Well how can I refuse after such a nice compliment! thank you!

not sure which cam mount you mean, so...

the eDVR mount is simple, it is just one of those usb thingys... ahhh pics work better...

as for the FCO mount that is just some music wire bent to shape, the front one plugs into a spare wing mount for the SS, wing saddle is clipped off. It kinda mounts like the stock landing gear, if you have a SS you will know what I mean... the rest is just wheel collars to hold all the wires together...

Thank you so much for those pics and explanation! The music wire setup is what I wanted to know how to do. I assume 'wheel collars' are something they sell at hobby shops? I have a Slo-V (same thing as Slow Stick) that I want to mount my camera on, and that looks like a pretty stable setup you came up with.

yes, wheel collars at hobby shop, there are different sizes so you take 2 pieces of the wire you want to join and make sure they will both fit thru the collar, (snug) then tighten the set screw. easy.

yes, made the landing gear MUCH more stable too, makes landing and take off from grass easy...

Slo V, cool plane , I almost bought one too.

Thanks galaxiex,

I'll pick some up at the LHS. Of course, now this means I'll have yet another poker in the fire. That's just what I need... LOL I've got so many planes started now, it'll take me till next spring to finish anything. Which is fine I guess, because the cold air and snow will be here anytime now...

2. GWS Formosa
3. Mini Ultra Stick

and I STILL have not finished my Easy Star...

What a perfect opportunity to use those fine engineering skills to build a super light Pico Tiger Moth! You'll love it on dead calm days....
