Hi write2dgray, I have been using Jack Power batteries for awhile, 4500mah and 5300 mah and find them to be very good. Any reason why they are not in your listing? Regards John.....

Too many new batteries, too little time . Link me to where you see them up for sale and I'll see about getting them posted.

Cheers,
David

David, Sorry to burden you. My mail was more to make you aware of their existance than to give you more work! http://www.jackpowerusa.com/ is better than the Hong Kong site for info. Your site is very informative, Thank you.. John.....

Alrightie then. Thanks you Shenzhen Southtop Tech Co., Ltd.!

On another note, some new LiFePo4 cells were rec'd from madhun1. I am doing some testing and will have some results available soon. Hun, if you are out there, any chance for some specs on these things?

Hi guys,i been flying with lipos for a while now and have just realised i dont understand the specs of these things, how are the amps worked out ?if i have a 11.1v 3 series lipo with 4000 mah and a 10c constant discharge and a 15c burst ,what are the total amps output for this at constant and at burst?

The battery is rated at 4000mah or 4 amps. This should be the max charge rate. The 10C indicates you can discharge it at 10 times its rated value or 10 x 4 = 40 amps (or 15 x 4 = 60 amp burst).

When batteries are connected in series the voltage of the PACK is doubled but the mAh and C ratings stay the same as those of the cells.

When batteries are connected in Parallel the voltage of the pack is the same as the cells, but the mAh, and "C" ratings are doubled.

It will be double the capacity, but the C rating will stay the same.
eg... 2 x 2000mah 20C packs in parallel is the same as 1 x 4000mah 20C pack. Max discharge would be 80A.
It would NOT be a 4000mah 40C pack capable of 160A.
