My new 11" SE-5

Here's a few shots of my new SE-5 kit.
I'm just finishing up the direction and getting the first fully printed model ready to fly. As you will see the model pictured is not finished just yet, but I thought I'd just give a little sneak peek.

11" span on this guy just like the christen eagle and AUW should be around 23 grams. It's powered with the GJ 7mm gear box, Plantraco acts and rx.

I hope you guys like it, because I sure do!
Mike

Do I understand correctly, you're going to be making these kits available?

Thank you very much guys!
I'm glad you guys like it, but wait till it's finished.
No WW1 plane is complete with it machine guns.

David,
I'm sure with a few mods to the interior structure the park zone stuff should work. The inside of the fuse is 7/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall over the lower wing.
Do you know the size of the brick?

Thanks again,
Mike

Mike,

Looks very good. Your printing and assembly techniques have come a long, long way from your first tries.

The brick is 1" wide, 3/4" long and ~1/4" thick. You would be able to stand it on its side, but it won't lay flat. I was also wondering about putting a brick in it. There is no weight penalty for using the Minium gear instead of plantraco gear if you are using remote actuators and standard Plantraco battery.

Thank you Michael.

Mike,
I bet the brick would fit flat if it was installed as you built the model.
You mite have a little bite of a bulge, but I bet you wouldn't even notice it and you could give the foam a squeeze to minimize it.

Thank you for the info,
Mike

Great, now I have to buy the brick and 2.4 TX
