Can you series wire 2 brushless ESC's for 4 motor setup.

Here is my goal. I am contemplating what power system to use for my B24. My plan is to use a 6SA123 pack. I am debating brushed speed 400's at which point I would use 1 ESC and series wire 2 sets of paralled motors together. For a brushless setup. Parallel wiring the ESC's is a no brainer since they can each draw current from the battery independently. For series wiring 2 of them together. Will they work? My brain keeps wanting to say no. (All ESC's are operating off 1 channel from the radio with NO BEC in use) I keep thinking that one will attempt to start up some microsecond before the other but will see an open circuit on the power wires. Neither ESC will actually arm because they don't see a closed circuit with the battery. Maybe I'm missing something obvious here that would allow this to work but I can't think of it right now. Any thoughts on this?

I know that I could go 3s2p on the battery pack and just parallel wire all 4 ESC's back but I would like to keep the battery to a 6s1p to be common with my other planes.

Your brain is right .

I suggest using two 3S packs. Wire them in parallel for your multi-engine model, and in series for others.

6s1p is VERY different than 3s2p, btw. Double the voltage.

There have been a few cases of successful operation of two motors in parallel from a single ESC but it is risky business for the most part.

Thanks everyone.

Someone already answered the question. I meant using 4 esc's for 4 motors but series wiring the ESC's to 1 battery pack so they would split the voltage so each would see 3s worth of voltage instead of 6s.
