MidNiteCM,

I'm afraid that the nose retract would take more days, as my colleagues at GWS China are working more at GWS-A4.

The space of retract already served.

When the nose retrect has being done, you can get GWS retract landing gears set to add on!

This should not be too far, I am tracking GWS RD on this subject to be completed ASAP.

Since, we will need multi thousnads of this for GWS JETs!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally someone will fill in that void! Please make them sturdy enough to handle at least 2.5lbs. My corsair and P40 have been waiting for these.

Hi Mr.Lin, what other power system do you recommend to fly the A-4 at slower speeds? Probably a lighter Weight system?

Watching the video reminds me of the sapac hawk in stock form. 600 grams thrust from a 75mm fan at 36 amps??

Hmm we get 600+ from the EDF64 right now at approx 18 amps with the GWS motors and 1300 4s1p packs.

An HET6904 fan with a 3W motor puts out almost a kilo of thrust at 35 amps on 4 cells and will run on 2200 4s1p 25c packs easily. This is the sort of setup I was expecting from the A4 considering is size.

Questions to GWS:
I would like to see the fan in this thread, someone from GWS should post up pictures of the fan, housing, motor etc.

Has the 4 blade rotor changed from the original EDF75 4 blade rotor??

Is the only change the 3mm shaft adapter??

The video one was with the original 4-blade rotor of EDF75, I've been told that there'll be newly reinforced rotor coming with "D cut" inside of its hub. The 3mm adapter will certainly be with "D cut" at its end.

Thanks Chen, so basically an original EDF75 4 blade with a bigger shaft adapter. 36 amps is very high dont you think? and 600g sounds low for this size fan running at almost 400 watts. What was the AUW of the model Tommy was flying?

AUW was 950 grams, there'd be the same air intake issue found on A-4. The thrust of 600 grams was measured when the EDF was on board. The EDF75 certainly works better in open space.

Enlarging both front ends of intake, and making the wing thinner
could make it faster. Tommy did not apply any cheat holes on it.
He said this GWS A-4 was stable in the air. I think that a thinner wing would add more airspeed, but the landing speed would be faster, and not stable any more.

Extreme, I was thinking of using the HET or similair Wemo fan unit if the 75's performance didn't work out to my liking. I looked at the thrust to weight numbers and wasn't impressed. I figured that I would give it a shot stock and then go from there. I fly another jet I have on a 12oz of thrust to 20oz AUW and it flies good but not really fast. The A-4 with the stock setup would fly in a pretty similair fashion power wise. The other jet by the way is getting a hotter setup in it now for more speed .
