Thanks, I guess it does work.

I guess I had better check my Versalite supply....

I'll pull a couple of these in the morning and see if it fits any better. I would like to get it to look right as a "slick" A-4, ("F", "S", "SU" , etc.) as well as the humped "F" and later versions.

I'm glad you like it. I have always loved this airframe. I'm going whole hog with hardpoint rails and drop tanks.

Have a good one and thanks

...ah, there's my timer for the second coat....

Seems to me that there is a clear difference between "experienced" and "advanced" pilots. I don't know anyone in this thread but I would say after all I have read that most everyone here is "experienced" but to say they are "advanced", I really can't say without having actual proof. This website http://www.tamjets.com/skyhawkedf.php has planes for "advanced" pilots and take a close look at how much their kits cost. Don't be fooled by a label on a box. Maybe GWS needs to reword the label on A4 box, I don't know but if you look at the contents of both kits, you will see there is a clear difference between the two and you don't need a magnifying glass to see it nor does it take a rocket scientist to determine it.

GWS makes a fine kit and I'm proud to own a few of them including the A4. I think you need to be a little more patient and give them time to work out the issues here.

Now, don't expect this A4 to fly like the one at tamjets and only pay less than $400 for it. Don't expect a bottle of champaign, when you only have beer money! Now, quit your belly aching!

I had thought of mix and match to fit your plan so as I get parts finished I will try to make them available.

I'm doing this in my kitchen so we are talking cottage industry here for real but I'll move as fast as I can.

I guess I had just better start ordering sheet material tonight.

Thanks guys.

I'm open to suggestions too so shout-out if you have an A-4 related idea I might be able to help with.....

...Third sealer coat drying....OK....just don't drop the damn thing now....

It's a great looking canopy, but I don't think it's a Skyhawk canopy?

Good spot. It's reshaped a bit to match the canopy frame outline. I'll post a finished painted version so everyone can see what I have here.

The 262 canopy will work with some creative painting and if you ignore the inappropriate canopy frame.

I'm sure you can get a 262 canopy probably cheaper than I could ever make one and faster too.

Have a good one.

Camship are you selling canopies?

If you are, why not work on a proper looking 2-seater canopy?

I own 3 tamjets and 4 HET jets also
I don't have to look at the website at all
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the GWS A4 in my opinion
I love the plane
But to tell me it flies fine with the included fan and motor...that's laughable
Then to go as far to tell me that fan rubbing the housing is "normal"?
Sounds like a bunch of excuses from someone who obviously has no idea what he is talking about

That is an "E" model with the early version canopy I do believe. The canopy was completely replaced on the "M" and later. That is the version I'm working on right now.

I'm sure the increase in pilot field of view was very welcome.

Later,

Wow, talk about myopia.. I have been so focused on the new style canopy I haven't even taken the original 2 seater canopy out of the box.....I'll have to take a look.

Good idea, thanks

Oh yeah, I'm sure Mr. Lin and all of his staff purposely set out to decieve everyone who buys this kit including you......give me a break. How do you know that the test plane didn't fly well? Were you there to witness it? How do you know that Mr. Linn doesn't know what he's talking about? Have you ever spent a day in his shoes? Maybe he said that just to upset you all. Did you ever think of that?

I think the real issue here is that because you own tamjets and het jets, you expect the GWS A4 to perform about the same and it doesn't and it won't and that bums you out. It was NEVER designed to go that fast! You can't make a rabbit out of a turtle.

Your complait/opinion is clearly noted, now give it a rest.
