Mr. Lin what is the Kv rating on the 2845? Is the 2815 going to be the only one available for the Early Birds to pick from or will we get a choice like they did with the GWS-15?

There'll be 2845 or even 2847 in the future, but only 2815 is available with EB kit, as both 2845 and 2847 need to be further tested. It takes more weeks.

Does GWS have 2lb - 5lb Mechanical Retractable Landing Gear for The GWS A-4 unlike the GWS F-15? I had to use Robart mechanical retracts for my GWS F-15.

Airpower sells A micro set of spring/air retracts. They are not GWS but were what I was thinking of using in the A-4 when I got mine.

Jason

P.S. Chen or Mr. Lin any word on the shipping or search for cheaper shipping?

Hi MidniteCM,

My colleagues at R&D are working at a prototype Retract Nose Gear.

Hi Jason,

It'd be expensive for shipping EB kits from GWS China by EMS, while it'd be much cheaper if EMS from GWS HQ in Taiwan, but EB have to wait for 10 -14 more days as we have to ship them by sea from China to Taiwan first. We're trying to find out a better way between these two ideas.

Maybe you could take care of half the cost of shipping for us Early Birds since we are the 'guinea pigs' anyway.

i might be mistaken, but as of now, it looks like you can only use 3.0mm shafted motors with the gws75 fan...if 2.3mm and 3.2mm shaft adapters are made available, then it will increase our motor/batt options...

Do you know the time frame for the GWS Retract Nose Gear? Will it be available for sale around the same time the GWS A-4 is for sale?

Well I am already looking at about $140 and planning for that. Any cheaper than that is gravy and means more things I can order at that time to get her going. As she is going to require me to get new Batts and esc and such.

I do hope, the US dollar stay low, no offence to the americans. As long as its 1.4 to Singapore dollar, my prediction for the total cost of the kit will be in the ranges of $200SGD with shipping.
I m planning to do a video on this aircraft, maybe all the EBs could put up their photos once their A-4 are up..i ll compile them all. I plan to do this with the P-40 but it wasnt possible due to work commitments. Now i need a nice soundtrack for the video. Maybe something from the vietnam era

lol jason

The only reason why I got first maiden w/ F-15 was cuz GWS screwed up the fan adapters, and I just happen to have some laying around from my late 262; maybe it'll happen again?

Huey- I think a good choice of song for a soundtrack would be something out of 'Full Metal Jacket', like 'Wooly Bully'.

Spirit in the Sky would be a good song from that time.

Yeah those would both be good...also, The Doors: "The End." Maybe even dub in a bit of video from the opening of "Apocalypse Now" to the front of the video, and fade in to the GWS A-4...
