When you get a big box like that shipped all the way from China, I don't see how it really could be much less than $40.00. Shipping costs are through the roof these days! If I order a kit from the States here into Canada, it's gonna be the best part of $40.00, never mind ordering from China!

Ok got my email from andy and all is good. Now what is the specs on the 2815 motor that is going to be offered with the kit? It states its a new motor but I haven't been able to find any info on it.

Jason

**EDIT** DOH!!!! I just ready Tailslides post with the 3700Kv rating for the 2815 motor . I would have to got with Tailslide on this one as it looks quick enough on that motor and 3S but 22oz of thrust for a 33oz plane is enough to fly but still a bit low for me. Who knows might still get the combo just to test it stock. Looks like it has a nice hatch for easy fan removal for upgrade later. Magnet attatchments for easy removal later .

Almost missed this thread. Chen, I suggest you have this thread made as a Sticky like Ray used to do.

Got my email yesterday. I think I may change my mind about skipping this one and go ahead and get it.

That's what I was thinking, too. My HET F-18 weighs 40 oz and has a 1:1 power ratio, using HET fan, 2w-20 motor, and 4s 3300.

I wonder how much battery room is going to be available in this A-4.

My guess is the battery goes in here under the canopy. Not sure what else may go in here, but I would imagine most of the electronics would install in the wing saddle.

EDIT - After looking at the pics again, it seems the wings just bolt on much like the F-15. Under the canopy may be the only place to install the RX as well.

Seems a good size 3S would fit in there turned sideways, maybe even a 4S if it's not too thick.

EDIT - This photo also seems to indicate we are getting a service hatch for the fan. This would be a great improvement over earlier EDFs.

Looks like there's plenty of room indeed.

I wonder what shaft size the '2815' is. I would suspect that it and the adapter are 1/8", just like most other 28 mm motors out there.

Tailslide - Your going to have to make new ducting for a Wemo fan - 75mm vs 68mm is a lot to make up for.

I think I'm going to use a Kyosho fan and maybe a mega 16/15/2 on 3S. That should give it more than enough power.

Chen,
What is the shipping cost to north america?

tailslide I think that setup in this plane would be insane. I think though if you were going for a similair performance setup an HET 3W would give you close to same performance as what you f-18 has. decisions decisions

Jason

**EDIT** What about a Wemo HW609? Little carving and wham good to go?

Yep. All kinds of decisions. I'll have to see what I can fit in it when it comes. I'm going to shoot for the minifan or HET fan since I have a couple of them laying around.

Tailslide,

The shaft diameter was 3mm on BL-2815. A new adapter was used on the EDF75, while the old one was 2.3mm.

Skyhwak,

The shipping cost might be the same as what on GWS-15. We're trying to find out a cheaper way for shipping out EB kits from CWS China.

It's ok if you don't, also. It may allow me to stake first maiden once again.
