Mr. Chen, I have to reopen the box to take the pictures. (I already pack all up and ready to send back to Tower) I also took a picture of the packing tape, can you tell if the tape was opened and reseal? By the way, I do find some # inside the box top cover, the # is 6250, there is another that was scratched off, you can see it in the picture I send. Also has a sticker at the bottom of the box, the # is GWSA1908, 03-04-32-01, ICMH1402 and 6/10/10.

thank you.

Couple of pictures from today. My stock A-4 (white one) and Ren's nicely done A-4 (grey) w/ proper rotating retracts and split flaps.

Try to feel 1.7+Kg thrust for your GWS A4 with EDF75!

I like to tell you how GWS EDF75 recently had tested with proto type brushless outrunner motor to get such result:

EDF75 4 blades: 1728g at 5 cells 81A ( 1498W ) 3260KV
EDF75 4 blades: 1180g at 4 cells 50.2A ( 743W ) KV=?

Any one here may be even already got better test datas by using other combination of motors?

Hope this increasing of speed and thrust will bring GWS EDF75 powered models up grade their performance a lot!

Try to feel 1.7+Kg thrust for your GWS A4 with EDF75! Should be a great experience!

However, need to be careful not to bent the wings!

By the way, if you don't want to spend too much cost of battery watts?

Try to use them at 4 cells:
EDF75 4 blades: 1246g at 4 cells 57.8A ( 855.44W ) 3260KV

Another proto type motor that was measured:
EDF75 4 blades: 1180g at 4 cells 50.2A ( 742.96W )

Which one you like it better?

Mr. Lin either of those new motors are improvements over the past ones offered. For any of the current or future planes offered by GWS powered by the EDF75.

My problem is what about the fan units? Has anything been done to beef up the blades or the over all rotor strength? The over all failure rate and fact that the blades can easily be broken during servicing and installation. Seems you (GWS) have taken steps to beef/upgrade the smaller fan units you (GWS) offer how about showing the larger unit the same attention to detail?

My $.02

A-4s

Ren and I had our A-4s out again today. Each of had a mini-keyfob camera on board to see if we could catch a shot or two of each other. Couple of fleeting glimpses - hopefully his is better than mine. Still - a really fun plane to fly.

A 4s (5 min 10 sec)

A-4 tango with Jim.wmv (5 min 28 sec)

This is the video from my plane.

Am now on my 4th motor and now on 4S. Previous motors all died on 3S lasting 1 to 3 flights each. Testament to this airframe is its glide capability...have had to dead stick it 3 times back to base with just minor landing gear ding. Very good airframe.

Sorry to hear that.

Did you add on heat-sink on motors?

After over three years o abuse, my stock fan finally blew up. Got the whole ting of video, from the plane and the ground. I couldn't get back home and wound up in a tree - hanging by the nose gear with no damage to the airframe.
A4 2-27-11.wmv (6 min 27 sec)

Enjoy!

Jim claims I FODed his motor out from debris blown by my A-4's exhaust
I say his 1000+hrs of no maintenance was the culprit...ask any aircraft maintainer

Had two spare fans - took about 15 min to totally replace. Ready to fly (out of FOD range).
