Thanks to the TPG.

I just wanted to mention something that happened to me.

I came from West Virginia this week and haven't flown RC gliders very much yet, but I had read all about the Torrey Pines Gulls and Southern California soaring.

I drove to Poway Field after work and thought I'd watch what was going on.

The minute I got there the guys made me feel at home and before I left, I had gotten to fly a couple of great DLG's and was treated to some good "contest" savvy advice, some buying tips and a critique of my planes...

This was way beyond what I had expected, I knew they'd be polite but they treated me like family without even knowing me.

Cheers to Don Richmond and the crew out at Poway Field on 12/06/02!

I'm going to be in the San Diego area myself in a couple of months. Where on the net can I find directions to the field? I'll probably be traveling with a DLG.
