Power supply for WES Charger?

Can someone recommend a good source for an AC/DC power supply for the WES Technik lithium charger? I want this to be easily transportable and I don't need it to power anything larger than the WES charger and I do need to charge 3 cells. I found a AC/DC wall wart at Radio Shack but it was capable of only 13.5 volts OR 30 volts. Is 13.5v enough so the charger can charge 3 Kokams at 1000ma?

From what I understand the Wes Technik charger needs approx 15-16volts to charge a 3 cell pack. Laptop A/C adapters are perfect for this and are usually rated to 3-4amps. Check out Ebay for cheap A/C adapters. You should be able to pick one up for around 20 dollars. IBM & Toshiba units work very well and have a clean output. Double check the voltage & current ratings with the seller before buying. Hope this helps

FWIW I just use two 12V batteries in series (giving 24V) which works fine and allows me to charge without mains supply. IIRC it's rated for up to 26V input. The minimum input voltage needed for 3 cells is covered in the instructions, think it is 15V.

I can't answer your question yet, mine is in the post as we speak.

You could mail the man himself:
walter.scholl@wes-technik.de
He writes perfect English, much better than my German and has replied very promptly to my emails.

OK, back home now so can confirm (from the instruction sheet) ..

"15V or higher" is required for 3 cells, and input is 11V to 26V.

flyifo.com will solder on a 19V converter to the WES 1-2-3 charger.
