I dontīlike the red faces, too - believe me.
New stuff is on the way. 8 and 10 channel RXs, JR and Futaba modules and some very few Multiplex modules...
Jim told me, the production is accelerated now. So the situation should improve soon.

XDP is here:http://dev07.graupner.de/index.php?id=12.
Or in English here: http://dev07.graupner.de/index.php?id=12&L=1

Guys,

Ive bought myself the Graupner IFS module for my MX22, and three receivers. I have been flying now for a couple of months with no issue, except the need to re-bind the receiver before one flight (i dont know why it needed this).

I have been increasingly worried with threads I read in RCuniverse. Another modeler her who invested heavily in the Graupner IFS system is now switching to futaba. Has anyone had some real problems with the Graupner IFS? I am really getting worried with all the negative publicity and seriously considering returning to 35mhz.

all of our Graupner pilots never had a real problem, and 99% of emails and pms I receive are reporting congratulations.
For the remainder a lousy power supply was the reason always.
Gentlemen (and ladies, if there are any): please use a power supply adequate to the top technique of your radio system and to your flying stuff.
Please buy the better receiver switch, and always use the next thicker awg. Use a friend for soldering, when youīre on about to hesitate about yourself.

What a luck, that we have a modular system, so everybody can switch back to 35 MHz in seconds and re-on to and stay on 2.4 GHz.

What about Graupner Pilot Peter Michel's giant airliner?
Are you saying that was a "lousy power supply"? The plane had many flights on it, and only crashed after being converted to IPS...

The plane had a lot of positive flights with IFS before crashing . And Peter will continue flying with IFS.
If you know Peter, he never would use a system without having the confidence.

That seems to be a pattern, though. A bunch of flights, then the jet goes in.
What was interesting, too, is the fact that it did not failsafe, but, instead, the engines throttled UP and there was no control.

Are you quite sure there actually were a bunch of flights on it with XPS before the crash?

Is there any explanation whatsover for the crash? That's the troublesome part...

I think the airbus is an even larger 4 engined model, and the one that crashed was an MD-11 or something like that, a very large twin turbine. You can see the video online. Total loss of control, throttles up, and total loss. And no explanation whatsoever as to what happened.
It's very similar to some other jet crashes with XPS I have read about. And there is a very common mode to all the crashes...everything seemed to work fine for a certain number of flights.
I have no explanation, and don't know if there is a problem, but it certainly seems that way.

the crash was in fall last year. No need to relaunch lots of speculations.
Ask Peter, or people who have been there by themselves.

You know for sure, when you link both to a programmer. But the chance is big, since Jim sent most of the Graupner products with upgradable CPU.
Programmers are expected to arrive in February, and actually there is nothing to upgrade.

Morning Frank !!

As XPS have developed the 900 MHz system, (866 MHz in Europe ??), will Graupner be taking that option ? What are the EU/Germany limitations at that frequency ? Is it legal over there ??

Hi all,

at the beginning, I'm german and my english is not the best, please excuse me.

Since 1 week I use the the iFS Sytsem in my MX22 with JR20 Receiver.
I have done a range test, like Graupner instructs.
(without aerial and pushed modebutton)

I get following ranges without breaks in the different views:

side face, left = 23m
side face, right = 23m
front view = 11m
rear view = 23m

I think it`s to low, because my colleagues get over 60m in this procedure.

I use the System in:

Logo 500-3D
4Cells 1200mah 2/3 Receiverbattery
3x Titan Digi 4 Swashplate servos
Gy-401+S9254 Gyro system

But what is my Problem, I hope you can help me.

Build up Pictures of the receiver in my Helicopter:
