Adventure in hotlining (4 min 3 sec)

Rich was here to capture the first 6S test flight in the B08. I've tried clicking on the "vimeo" tag, lower right screen, which takes you to the site and allows for HD playback. We had gusty conditions but you'd never know it from the audio; really nice microphone.

It was a good maiden, after a few clicks of trim, it flew nicely and all temps seemed good afterwards.

Phew! This is always a relief when you throw into the sky something important, and it comes back in one piece ;-)....

(BTW - no limiter in this one, A Crazy Joe inspired hotliner, just for fun) .

Nice video with that music and all.

Eric, what are your brake settings on the ESC? Assuming P180 ?

Not sure, it's either max brake, no delay, or max brake, 0.1 delay. and yes on the CC PHX180 (no mods other than removing the shrink wrap in the mid point along the boards) - was in a hurry to fly, worked great in 75 degress outside air temp.

Well bud, if it's any consolation, it got really cold here tonight, it's probably going to hit 60 before the sun comes up..and while at the beach today and I'm telling you, you really needed a sweat shirt, once that sun went down...some of the guys in the water were even wearing wet suits!

;-)

hey man, we missed you guys this weekend, have a good holiday!

Eric, nice video!

Your B08 looks very fast - which motor and prop do you use for 6S?

See you in Muncie, I hope.

Hi Tommy,

Yes, nice video. Richard did a great job on that video, and unless someone has tried to make one, it's impossible to realize how difficult it really is to make a clean video. Those planes are hard to keep in the picture when shooting, hard to keep in focus, hard to get the right lighting, hard to get perspective; he just gets all that to work like magic or something. Playing the vid in "HD" from the Vimeo site, instead of just pressing play here in the window, is quite a treat for A/V fans like me; he even nailed the audio mixing.

What motor and prop? Are you crazy! ;-)

For a 6S recommendation, the 1512 1.5D 6.7 on a new, Neu 17.5 prop is hard to beat. Sergey likes that motor, recommended it, flies it, and plenty of others seem to be having good success it; seems like that's the sweet spot for 6S F5B, but I'm not all that familiar with 6S yet.

I'm still a fan of 5S for F5B; the setups seem tried and true, the good batts seem to last "forever", and my experience with the drivetrain reliability is best so far.

See you in Muncie, I hope!

Hi
I'm searching for high resolution pictures from the "Avionik B08" wing and the elevator (plan view).
Thank you

We ordered 4 B08's in Oct and they arrived mid Dec. Sergey said delivery would be Jan/Feb 2010 so maybe he overestimates just so people won't be chasing him. We are waiting on some props and extra fuz's not sure when they will arrive.
