The helicopter is a Mi-24 Hind, which is Russian made and this particular aircraft is part or was part of the Hungarian Air Force that was probably painted by its crew members. The helicopter was not used for military operations, however, and carried no ammunition, although you can see cannons and missile pads are present (with no missiles) because it was used for air shows and other exhibitions. Snopes says “the helicopter has since been decommissioned and no longer exists.”

hmm...as I respect the amount of work that went into the paint job I think its kind of cheesy..kind of like owning a corvette and painting it purple or something.

??? A purple corvette? was that a cool colour for it years ago then?

BTW this is being very picky of me but i think the birds eye should be more where the pilots head is as every time i look at it i think his head is the eye untill i look harder.

oh yeah...gary travis rarely does anything more than a right hand turn with that turbine, and ive also seen him fail to be able auto a 30 size nitro learner when the engine died...what is bergen thinking giving him a ten thousand dollar heli?!
