IMO Hitec HS65 servos are the choice for small to intermediate sized planes. I use them in my T-Craft and even in my 4S powered 3D Hobby Shop EBT Trainer. Great servos with Karbonite gears that can stand some gaff...

Thanks everyone for your input on the servos. At this point I plan to go with the Futaba S3114, as I have always had great luck with them. I will be visiting my LHS this week to pick up the power system and servos and some more epoxy.
I will be also pickup up some bigger wheels for the T-craft, as I fly off a lumpy grass field. I like the hole Tundra Tire look, and think I might go with something in the 2.5" or 2 3/4" range. By next weekend I will start the build, and will let you know how it goes. - e_airman |

Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with?
I was flying my friends T-craft so he could get some video for his dad. Flying in formation with another T-craft, I suffered a strike from a helicopter. The plane it a complete write off. What happened to the heli? Hopefully it suffered as well. I gave up flying my helis at the local field when the planes were flying as the two just don't mix well.

i agree gary helis and Airplanes just dont mix .. I belong to a club in south Charlotte that mainly flys helis i wont go to the field and fly ..

Is that right the T Craft is B O till late July?? Can Hitec 55's be used in this plane..What Hyperion or Scorpion motor will work also.. Thanks Dan |

Dan,
The HS55 servos probably would work if you were very careful and all linkages were very free. HS56 or 65 would be a better choice IMO. I have 65's in mine and they are very nice. Put 4 more flights on my T-Craft this afternoon. I really enjoy flying this versatile plane. It is quite aerobatic with the Eflite 480 motor. Gary |
