I dont think the good guys at Hobby Lobby paint these, the manufactor does. And yes some of the paint on these are cheesy but its not HL fault. I changed my esc and i might be crazy but it just ran longer and i didnt have the bec give out.

Sounds like if ur bec is failing that would be an issue...lol. Was it the preinstalled ESC or one you put in?

I replaced my ESC and it doesn't cut out anymore.
I like this plane its "kinda" fast once you get her going
but a low speeds she really shines and landings are a sintch.
O and the plane has a hatch on the bottom when your ready to switch out the stock motor

I have flown mine about 30 times and no problem with the stock esc, I would think it is a rare case and that HL would help with the problem but most people would rather just go fly than send stuff in and wait!

I just used this http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id...2&pid=B2049175 and it worked, but use at your own risk if you decide to buy. Now Hobby Lobby has excellent customer service, but we cant blame them for everything.

Oh I dont blame HL for everything, I have my issues with them that dont belong in this Forum. Just wondered if their was an ESC issue if anyone has taken it up with them or is this just a rare case. They sell it so it goes without saying they should stand behind it.

If your having a problem with your ESC then call us here at Hobby-Lobby, (1-866-933-5972) and we'll make it right. Out of the hundreds of FA-18's we sell we haven't seen a problem with the speed controller but like anything it can and does happen. If you want a replacement let us know and we'll take care of it.
