Doug, what kit did you end up going with?


Pulled the intake duct off the mold today.... sprayed it white on the mold, not so easy to get the can inside to spray afterwards, with the duct reduced to 110mm the wheels have enough room now, no need for two bumps in the join up duct.

Doug, I am really thinking hard about the electric conversion for my F-16.
If you decide to do ailerons, why not stick with the aileron linkages as designed by Yellow? They are not hard to do, and they are pretty stout. Personally, I like the way Yellow did it, as I am not a fan of exposed linkages.
The plug in wing is a nice feature too.

Going to get some build time on the F-18 this weekend, between the 'honey-do' list, and the dinner party with my mother in law (think if I hide in the shop they'll notice?).

I think the only way that cockpit kit comes is painted. The parts from Just the pits is just the resin molded, painted instrument panels. The rest is factory Yellow Aircraft ejection seat, and HUD. The pilot I aquired somewhere else (Century Jets, I think), and painted/modified him to fit.

I'll get some more pics later today and post.
I would LOVE to do another one someday and paint it in the 'Artic Aggressor' scheme, but I have to get the F-18 finished before I take on another project.

thanks for that Jeff. Maybe they stopped making those decals when I purchased mine. My colour scheme is supposed to be representing Polish F16 so I will need to make some stickers myself

You should have chat with Callie at www.callie-graphics.com. She does amazing custom sticker work! Go see some of Pat Tritles builds over in the scale electrics section for examples.

Zim, i got the latest Yellow kit. It has the grey fiberglass fuse. I didn't get any decals with mine. I have a set ordered from Tailormade for the Gen Dynamic version.
Jeff, JR and Hitech offers a thin wing servo that only .375" thick. The only thing in the airstream will be the servo arm and the control horn. I'm still going with removable wings and all i will have to do is plug in the extensions. I have the scale gear on order along with the wheels. If the machining is as nice as what the did on the elevator linkage i should be happy. The plan is to use My T/f 4000 and Neu1912-1Y setup like K-Sonn did. However i think i will go with the Flightpower 30C packs. Doug
