i have a bunch of pictures i can post later. NEAT was very cool this year, lots of great ornithopters, great flying new plantraco models, and some great micro scale jobs.

Neat Fair Micros-- Hip Hop four channel rec.145 mg.

Unreal but I held it in my hand. .2x.2 inches and .145 mg. four channel Hip Hop receiver in a 3D DUROBATICS double surface wing micro built by Martin Newell plus a brushless motor. fantastic!!!! Here is a photo of Martin with the DUROBATICS plane. I'll add more photos Check out the four channel receiver under the wing, no that is not a bug its the receiver. Here is the receiver in my fingers picture #4. Marten supplied a loupe with the receiver so you could see it, so I stuck the loupe in front of my lens to see if it would work, Walla! Photo#6 another plane from Plantraco made out of DUROBATICS. A beautiful flyer and looks super in the air.

Bum Me Out!!!

I was asleep at the switch, and by the time I figured out NEAT
was coming up, it was too late for me to go...

Tell me more about the ornithopters! How many were Radio Shack
Dragonfly mods, and how many were scratch-built?

Next year for sure...

Solo,

That RX looks like a custom free air soldered one to keep the weight down. I am sure the production ones won't look like that.

The plantraco receiver is not that small. That little jewel of a receiver is a hand made unit by Martin Newell. Very difficult to build!!!

Does the "V4" by Martin Newel have 3 control surfaces?

Would this be the first 3D micro?

Man, he is a very talented person.
Will we ever get to enjoy any of these creations ourselves?

Martin's 4 channel 3D micro has Ailerons, elevator, rudder and speed control. All this and a brushless motor that gives it a real WOW factor. He said he wants to get some more DUROBATICS building material. The wings are double surfaced .025 skins. Just beautiful!!!!
