Hi Tam

Excellent flying . Is the 3d OK on 11s or is it pushing it a touch?

Mark,
We did a lot of test with 3D motor on 11s at 100 plus degree day. Not a problem at all. As long you management the power and allow enough cool down time from each high speed run.
With the Spark you can do 11s 5000mAh pack.
2 x 4s 5000mAh and 1 x 3s 5000mAh to made 11s.
The weight different from 10s 4450mAh is about 3/4 lbs I think.
It still very light weight for the power you got.
We did some doppler from the video yesterday. The 10s set up are doing 180 to 185mph.
The 11s doing well over 190 mph.

I will get out there several times in the next few months to help out with testing and share some of my ideas.

Neil,
Tam uses his retracts with 5/32 (4mm) legs.

I use Hitec 5125 for the elevators
JR 3421 for ailerons and rudder
JR 821 for speed brake
Hitec 225MG for nose steering
Hitec 85MG for retract valve

The retract are my mini retract and had Brake/MPI wheels.

So far we had over 75 flights with the Spark with this gear and not even bend the 5/32" wire.
Even Russ the bad landing. on the last video.

Thank you both.

I've been looking at the Jet 1-A's with trailing struts as I fly from a grass strip which can get a little rough in winter.

I've got a mixture of servos here, but none that are the thin wing versions, I may try the Hi-tec 5125's.

I'm after a set of struts for that model, if you can split them.

Hey everyone, I am still enjoying the Spark. I have almost 30 flights on it with the TJ100. It is a really cool plane. I got an email regarding the new paint schemes from the CARF rep I got the plane from. They look pretty good.

Here is the email:

Please check out the new composite ARF color scheme we have applied to the Spark,

We call it the Contender.

It will sell for $1190.00 and we are taking orders now.

Please contact me if you are interested in this modern marvel.

Thank you,
Andy Kane

those look pretty good...maybe just a little busy though.

Did he send pics of the stars and bars or the thunderbirds schemes?

He only sent the Green and Red schemes. I like the change in look for the Spark, but I am not sure if I like them more than my purple scheme. The look of my plane has grown on me. It is nice to see more looks to for this plane.

Now they need to make an Ultra Spark, something between the size of the current Spark and a Bandit. That would be cool.

One thing I do like about the new color schemes is that they did not put the "CARF-Models Spark" logo on the side. That way they are not flying advertisements.
