I love my Spark!

I got the Spark finished Saturday morning at 2:00am. On Saturday I got to maiden it. I installed the TJ100 with the 1515 1.5Y motor and 8S 3700 mah batteries from my F-16 in the Spark. I was a little worried about power because the Spark is bigger, and at times my F-16 seems a little under powered. But, this was not the case for the Spark. It took off like a rocket from our paved runway, and after a little bit of trim, it was flying great. Rolls are very fast, and loops were very easy. After 3 flights I got used to it, and on the fourth flight I was doing verticle figure 8s, inverted flight, and anything I could think of. The verticle performance is good, and it will cover a lot of sky very quickly. Also, it will turn very sharp. As for landings, wow that was easy. The plane will land on our grass runway, so stopping is not an issue. All I did was go down wind, make a final turn and shut down the EDF & deploy the speed brake. The plane would then set up for landing and all I did was watch. At the last minute I flaired and got a perfect landing. There were times in my flight I would climb to a good altitude and shut down and just float around throwing in a roll or two.
I really wish I had this thing at E-Fest. I can't wait till next year!

cool deal lead! congrats! and there is a power bump on the spark versus the 16, even on same wind and cell count, just due to sheer better FSA. And the plane is very slick too which helps.

Good job Mike,
Did I told you is easy plane to fly?
I just got back from flying too. Russ put two flight for videos and I do the third flight.
I wish Russ know how to videos.
Later I'll update more videos two night with 1515 3D both 10s and 11s 4450mAh set up.
It was hauling with this power. I think was doing high 180 or low 190.
Next week we update the site with more Spark color scheme available for X-mas delivery.

We though that our Electra with TJ100 or Bandit with TJ100 got award for Outstanding Sport performance.

The Spark suprise everyone and even us.
Now I do convince the Spark is really fun, fast, power effecient and affordable price for high performance sport EDF

Thanks Tam. Ya, this plane is easy to fly. I saw the paint schemes for the Spark in the 200 mph thread. I like the green one, much better than the current schemes that the Sparks have now.

The 5th one go to be American flag or American stars..

That sounds great. You should do a military scheme, like the Jolly Roger. There was a Jolly Roger painted CARF Lightning at the field today, looked great. A Spark with that scheme and your scale cockpit would look good.

Mike, congrats on your new Spark maiden.

I`m trying to figure out how to "surprise" myself with one for Christmas, LOL.

It will have to be the "Dallas Maverick" green/blue electric colors of course, but the stars and stripes sounds great too.

This set up is 11s 4450mAh with 1515 3D motor.
This how Russ fly at Ohio E-jets. He got slip on the landing.

This link is for 10s 4450mAh set up.

The 11s set up use 4100mAh for that aggressive flight.
The 10s set up use 3600mAh.

Watch both video and give me your vote which one you like to fly everday.

Awesome vids Tam!!!

That Spark flies like a dream!! Fast and maneuverable, but slows down great for easy landings.

Can`t wait to get mine.

Russ and few of my local buddies also getting one.
Next we had another Jets meet here local. I'll bring the Spark to demo.
Their had see Russ demo the Electra last year and very impress with the speed performance. But no sale at all.
The budget kept them from getting one. Now with affordable high performance sport EDF. I'm pretty sure I'll get more sold next week at the event.
Our club want to hold E-jet during spring time next year. We do had quite a few EDF flyer here in the Bay Area.
Before I host the San Jose Jets meet and got a lot of pilots show up. Ever since we had over fly zone issue. We stop doing it.
Now with EDF jets. We can fly in the tight pattern.

Next time you in town Jim.
I'll take you out flying. Maybe you should kept one plane in my shop. You stop in from your laid over trip and do some flying. Since you can't fly during the winter.
