Maybe 90 would have been better but, like the 90mm the 75 should be better at taking higher rpm (speed)....maybe 15s and the right motor would make it sing.

Now Steve, are you trying to say that I fly my Jepe F-16 a fair way out and up? It's hard to contain all that power in a small airspace!

BTW

90mm for sure, DS75 is pretty good, but it should be in a bigger model. Not in any of the video I posted but it has a really high approach speed. It will also use a lot of sky for effective speed management at that wing loading. OK for Binocular Beluminimi but not for everybody.

Do you have a flight data recorder? I can send you the FDR file.

Efflux with open exhust is in the region of 177mph, so speed range is in the order of 150-160, my doppler at Porz is in that region so it bears it out.

With Daniel on Saturday, if you have any more questions, happy to field them.

DS75 on my rig.

this is the end of my standard two min test at 25c ambient and a 1 inch rounded lip.

The temp displayed is not connected to the motor and shows ambient.

result after 30sec at 1500 wats, 30sec at 2500 watts and 1 min at full power.

Sorry, no RPM 10s TP 5000

For the rest, future RCJI review.

Yes,
That is very interested too. But only one problem is motor choice and service if the motor fry.
But later I'll pick Stu brain about motor choice once he can catch up and get little rest.

The Spark (is it pregnant ?) is designed (ducting, fan mounts etc) for, and flown with, a 110 mm fan:

so there might be some other options. I am not sure though the HW-730 is still available.

all the 75 needs is a drop to a 5mm shaft, then the world is much more open to it. And i dragged out my 730 the other day and you know, there light, but I remember them putting out a lot more power! lol its a tad bit of a struggle to break the 3kw range on it, thats not a whole lot more than were doing in 90mm now.
