Got a link for that strut?

GRX, here is the link:

I got it from Hodges Hobbies. Mac was the one who suggested it. He sells them for 50 dollars and you get the nose gear and the mains. All three are the same. He uses these on his BVM Maveric EDF.

Ron, I have the TJ100 1515 1.5Y set-up with 8S 3700 mah. It is good for 140 mph and 3 to 5 minute flight times. I set my timer for 3.5 and land around 4. It uses 2100 to 2400 mah per flight. I think for the Spark the TJ100 is the fan to have. Not that I have tried other fans, it is just that my plane flies very well with it.

I really like to fly this plane. On one side you can fly it like a Park Flyer (in a large AMA sanctioned site) and on the other side you can push the envelope. It does everything you want it to, and is very stable. I like this plane so much that I am taking notes on things I could have done better to incorporate into a second Spark.

Thanks for the link, the Spark is a very fun plane, I've been really happy with mine. As you said, once you get used to it you can fly a very wide envelope with it, I'm running the DS75/Lehner setup with Neu 10s 5500's and get 150+ depending on the run, I average about 5:30 seconds from takeoff, that uses about 4200mah out of the packs on average.

Thanks GRX

I think I'm going for 11s 5000 with TJ 100..
That will be silly fast

I'll make sure to slow it down really good on landing
I've found that even my scale jets will fly much slower than you would think

Thanks for the tip

Neil,
I used straight lengths of 4 mm wire and a piece of brass tube to align my main gears,
sounds like you may need to shim the mounting plates too.

I had to shim mine a little, if they weren't shimmed they would bind.

11s 1515 3D motor is fast.

This weeken I fly all three great sport jet with TJ100 power.
The Spark is the fastest one of all three.
The Bandit is fun and very aerobatic. Landing like a foamie. I love it.
Electra is fast and aerobatic. Very fun to fly. If money is not an issue. This can be my favorite one.
Spark is best bank for the buck. It faster than my own Electra with the 1515 3D motor on 11s set up. All the club members came up and ask. How fast you think the green Spark is doing. I can't imagine how faster the Spark can go if I put in the same power set up as my Electra.

On high timing it put out 2.7kw with 5000mAh 25C pack.
This set up I was flying at AZ jets rally.
It was fast enough for most average pilots. The flight time is excellent.

Neu 1.5Y over Neu 3D?

Hey Tam,

Whats the best Bang for Buck, when it comes down to ,good sports performance & flight times around 5 minutes with the TJ100 on the Spark.

I like the sound of 8s or 9s-as it fit the budget a little better.But for 5 minute flight times,obviously I'd be looking at 4350 or 5000mAh packs,wouldn't I.

So,do I go for the 1.5Y,for strictly 8/9s operation(but perhaps slightly less flight time),or do I stretch to a 10s set-up on the 3D motor,for improved flight times??

Any advice would be appreciated & happy flying!
