CG shock 3D

Cool thread you guys have going here. Been thinking on converting some small electrics for a while now. A friend just up and gave me this shock 3D so Im going to try to convert it. All I have is a AP .09 sitting here so thats what Im going to try. Had to put the motor inverted, thought I could get it in by cutting the one side and letting the needle assembly hang through. But the throttle hit on the other side.

Nice job fitting the engine in that cowling. It looks like it was SUPPOSED to have that AP in there. I hope it flies as good as it looks.

Thanks guys. AAfter looking at it for about a half hour and thinking its never going in. Side ways no way,up right no way, inverted possible but it will be a chore. I took the plunge. I almost at one point was thinking on making a plug to make it wider. But finally I had it in and said it will do

OS 25 LA for an E-Flite Beaver

I have been admiring this bird for sometime and have decided to buy this plane and put in an OS 25 LA that I have with a pitts muffler. I also have some HS 81 servos that should be OK for this plane.

I'll let you know how it goes. Some have put four strokes in this beauty but I think for non-float flying the 25 should be plenty of power considering it's designed of a 25 power electric motor.

Should be fun.

I glued the stab and the fin. Then started on the elev. halves but soon found out I wasn't going to have enough glue. I ran out on the first side.

awww i hate it when that happens! it's like when you're building a foamie and glueing on the wing and you run out of glue in your glue gun, it's a race to grab a glue stick, shove it in your gun, and finish gluing the wing. it's crazy!

Regards,

Nick.
