Here are some Tiled plans for a 36" (files say 32"...) and a 48" Lazy Bee type aircraft that I chose to call the BluBee.

The smaller one has a simgle surface wing and the larger one has a more conventional full airfoil. On the smaller one the wing is rigid enough, but I was not confident that the larger one would be stiff enough so I made it a full airfoil.

If anyione is interrested I can also post the DXF files and build info.

Thanks for posting the plans....a great looking model. The build info would be a plus especially to us NewBees! What size of motor do you suggest for either size?

On the BigBluBee i am using an EFlite 370 1380Kv outrunner with a 2 cell LiPo and a 9 x 4.7 Prop. Climbs at anything over half throttle.

On the smaller BluBee i qam using a modified GoBrushless kit motor at 1060KV turning an old TopFLite 6x4 Nylon Prop. Flies about like the BigBluBee on 2 cell, and has about a 1-1 Thrust ratio on 3 cells.

Here are some pictures I of the 2 birds. Give a pretty good Idea of the size difference.

Whoa, that's a great example of bee-keeping. I think you almost broke the record for the most tiled pages on a plan too. Keep up the good work. I will be watching this thread.

Started working on a SpeedeeBluBee this week. Full airfoil wing. Need to add some foam fill between the layers where I cut out the ailerons. 36" span. Am trying to approximate the SpeedyBee fuselage but have been able to find very few pictures. ANyone out there got an old plan set laying around?

Will post the plans shortly, just as soon as I get teh fusealge built to see what else will be needed.

Here's a few pictures of the SpeedeeBluBee so far. Hope to get it done this weekend.

Are you going to put up some tiled plans for it Please---------Please?? Have never had one but would really like one. This is a pic of my 2-3 year old LB foamy made from old 40inch Clancy plans. One of my favorite small area fliers. Real sky crawler, looks like a blimp cruzing by. Going to make a new KF stepped undercamber wing for it sometime this winter the way it is now if you get to crazy with the stunts the wing flaps like a bird!!!!

Stagger-wing would be great also....
