Maidened it today. It's a high performance plane. It doesn't like to
fly slowly, and will tip stall with those thin tips if you do. But get
the airspeed up, and it's smooth and very quick. I ended up DSing it
for most of its two flights, and it was hanging with the likes of
a freshy JW60. It's deceptively fast. Something about the
profile makes it look like it's going slower than it is, but it was
smoking right along. It was a bit squirly sometimes but probably a
combination of rates being a bit too high, CG back a bit too much, and lack
of ail differential. I didn't bother to fix any of those things, and it still went
very fast and sounded great. Ended the day with a mid-air with a combat
wing at DS speeds, and needs some repairs to the broken spars in
the middle of one wing, but is otherwise fine. It's not a combat plane
but I'm happy with it so far.
