plastic for vac forming

Anyone after plastic for vac forming aileron/flap covers? How about canopies?

This is the good stuff:

Network Marketing Pty Ltd.
PO Box 257 Blackburn Vic 3130
ph. 9890 0484
e: salesmelb@networkmarketing.com.au

I picked up some .25mm x 340mm Rigid PVC clear for just this purpose and it's the gear. They have .30 & .35 as well. Other sizes too.

Cheap too. They sell to BIG national food processing/packaging clients...I grabbed 20m...they gave it to me free as a sample inc. post! I mentioned it was for RC gliders.

Shouldn't this (lipo talk) be in a separate thread?

Gluggy,

It depends on what type of film you want to apply.

Model Flight list two I have both. They are available/orderable from any model shop.

http://www.modelflight.com.au/access...for_models.htm

I bought the cheap one first but found that with some films the difference between the adhesive activation and the shrink temperature was smaller that the variation in temperature of the electromechanically controlled irons making it very difficult to get the temperature right.

Later I bought the electronically controlled iron and it was much more stable in temperature.

Also when you get an iron check the sole plate does not have any drips/runs of teflon on it as they make a mess of the under lying balsa.

Cheers

Mark
